1. International conference by UIA criteria

- Conferences organized or sponsored by international organizations or groups
- Conferences that are not organized or sponsored by international organizations or groups but by domestic organizations or groups, or domestic branches of international entities
(※ Conditions: minimum of 250 participants, at least 5 countries, foreigners constituting more than 40 percent of all attendees, conferences held for 2 consecutive days or longer)

2. International conference by ICCA criteria

- Conferences that occur regularly, rotate between at least 3 countries, and attract a minimum of 50 participants

Conferences held in Gwangju for more than 2 consecutive days with a minimum of 100 participants

Other conferences that are considered to carry great benefits
